The Sharp Cup team lost in their fourth contest of the season 1.5 – 3.5 against top of the table Kooyonga at Willunga on Sunday.

Glenelg kept their unbeaten season in tact with a hard fought 4 – 3 victory over The Vines at Kooyonga. Played in wonderful winter conditions, the “wiz-kids” stood up under the pressure of a close encounter, to ensure the win.
In Round 6 of Women’s A3 we played the undefeated West Lakes, and finished the day with a well fought squared match!
After a very early start for our trip to Tea Tree Gully, we struggled all day against the home team who took advantage of their local knowledge, especially around the greens.
Playing Flagstaff Hill on their home course was always going to be a tough contest. Throughout the day it was obvious the home team were generally finding the fairways and managing the greens that little bit better than the Glenelg players.
Our girls played well at home this week and recorded a convincing 4 – 1 win against Royal Adelaide. We are now sitting second on the ladder and should remain on track to finish second for the season and qualify for the semi final in two weeks at Kooyonga.
An early frosty morning at Willunga, but not the result we were after as inconsistency on the day wasn’t our best friend. Glenelg finally going down 4 – 1 to The Grange Golf Club.
We played Kooyonga on Sunday, 24th June at Glenelg. To date, we had one win, one halved match and one loss, so it was imperative that we won to have a fighting chance to make the finals.
