Women’s Golf
Glenelg Golf Club has a strong history of female Members, with the first Member joining when the Club opened in 1927. Glenelg now has over 315 active female Members, and this continues to grow each year.
Glenelg has three successful female teams competing in Pennants each year. In 2019 #TeamGlenelg won both Women’s A3 Cup and Sanderson Cup.
Women’s Try Golf Clinics
Glenelg Golf Club’s Women’s Try Golf clinics are the perfect start to the perfect game. Aimed at Women who are new to golf and looking to get into the game, this short program run by PGA Professional, Sarah King, includes three clinics, a social game, plus drinks and nibbles.
The clinics are a lot of fun, are a great way to meet new people, and provides an excellent opportunity to try golf at one of South Australia’s Premier Golf Clubs. The best part is, it’s completely relaxed and un-intimidating, learning the game around people all starting out at the same level.
Clinics are typically run over four weeks, and comprise of three 90-minutes sessions, and a two-hour on-course ambrose social event followed by drinks and nibbles.
Women’s Try Golf Membership
Our Women’s Try Golf membership is recommended for those new to golf and available to participants of the Women’s Try Golf Clinics.
This membership is designed to encourage greater participation of women in the game of golf, and to assist in the development of female golfers to prepare for long term membership opportunities at Glenelg Golf Club.
Women’s Try Golf membership offers unlimited rounds of golf and access to our world class practice facilities at a very affordable price.
With the golfing industry going though unprecedented times and Member demand at an all-time high, Glenelg Golf Club membership is now completely full (this includes the Women’s Try Golf category) and therefore closed for the immediate future. A waiting list has been implemented, effective immediately, for all categories (except Junior). This means that the Club will not be taking any new members but have waitlist benefits on offer.
With this being said, our Women’s Try Golf coaching program will continue during this time and we are currently looking at ways to implement new and progressive programs to ensure that you can still continue to learn the game and continue your golfing journey. More details to follow at the first session of the clinics in September.
