Dear Members,
We are pleased to advise the 10th Tee will be opened for play on Thursday 1st May 2025.
While holes 8 & 9 remain closed, Members using electric carts can access the 10th tee via the laneway to the rear of the Pavilion, following the service road up towards the tee. Members walking can access the 10th tee via the 8th tee area, following the path in front of The Pavilion.
There are a number of course playing conditions Members should familiarise themselves with when playing the 10th hole.
Hole 10
When playing the 10th Hole, the entire 9th Hole is a “No Play Zone” as defined by black stakes, a ball coming to rest in this area MUST not be played and free relief MUST be taken at the “Nearest Point” of complete free relief.
A ball coming to rest on newly laid turf surfaces on the 10th hole, a player may take relief as per the Clubs Local Rules – 13. The complete list of Club Local Rules can be viewed by Clicking Here.
Local Rule 13.
“Seams of cut turf in a part of the general area cut to fairway height, or on a putting green, may be treated as ground under repair if there is interference to the lie of the ball or the area of intended swing, but not for intended stance.
If relief is taken it must be complete relief from interference by the seam which caused the initial interference, and all other seams in the same area.”
Holes 8 & 9
Looking ahead, holes 8 and 9 are expected to reopen in the last week of May. Final works are underway, including turf establishment, final irrigation installation, minor shaping adjustments, creation of paths, and general course preparation to ensure both holes meet our high presentation standards. These additional finishing touches are important to provide optimal playing conditions and to protect the new surfaces as they establish.
More information on the reopening of these holes and the next stage of CEP works will be communicated to Members in the coming weeks.
Thanks to all Members for your continued patience and understanding as we progress into the final stages of the Course Enhancement Plan.
