Sanderson team flies into Final

The Sharp Cup team halved it’s final home and away contest of the season against Country Districts at Glenelg on Sunday. The course was in great condition and the weather was exceptional.
Playing at home, the Glenelg Juniors found some great form and ended up all square against Kooyonga.
On Sunday at Tea Tree Gully, Glenelg defeated Royal Adelaide 4 – 3 to earn a spot in the final in 2 weeks time. The match was a very close contest, standing at 3 games each, with Jack Buchanan playing the last hole all square in the decider.
Although the A3’s were narrowly defeated by Flagstaff Hill at North Adelaide, the team has progressed to the final next Monday (9th July) at West Lakes against West Lakes. Congratulations!
Our match today was crucial to give ourselves an opportunity to play in the Final. Sitting second on the ladder we were up against table leader, Royal Adelaide, who were unbeaten all season.
The girls had an amazing win over Mt Osmond winning 5 – 0 and finished second on the ladder behind Grange.
With only 2 rounds remaining, it was vital for Glenelg to win to keep some slim hope of getting into the Final – unfortunately having to rely on other games to go our way!
The weather was perfect on Sunday, 1st of July when we played Tea Tree Gully at Royal Adelaide and won 4.5 – 0.5.
