The annual Bay-Beach Trophy, between Glenelg and 13th Beach was played on the Sunday of the Adelaide Cup weekend, with the home side claiming back the trophy won by 13th Beach in 2013.
With some new faces on both sides, and a great Adelaide Cup long weekend, Glenelg’s team prevailed in a friendly but hard fought tussle 282 points to 269.
A total of 15 players from each club enjoyed a great day of golf and wine and food and a lot of fun!
Many favourable compliments on the golf course and the hospitality shown to the visitors were received from participants, which topped off a great day despite the trophy itself not actually making the trip over the border! This will be returned into winners hands in coming weeks when the 13 th Beach men’s ‘Western Tour’ comes back to Glenelg.
The 2016 event will once again return to 13th Beach over the Adelaide Cup long weekend, and members are encouraged to get involved in this great interclub event.
