The annual Airport Challenge match between Glenelg and Kooyonga was played on Wednesday, 11th March at Kooyonga Golf Club.
Sadly, the Glenelg team was soundly defeated by the home club, winning only 2.5 matches out of the 10 matches played.
Played in a two ball better ball matchplay format, Glenelg’s only victorious pairing was Paul McGrath and Chris Pudney, who won their match 1up. The pairings of James Brown and Scott Williams, David Frost and John Keogh, and Louis Langanis and Roger Attenborough salvaged halves in their matches.
However, the result was an improvement on the 2013 match played at Glenelg, where Kooyonga wipedthe home team of the golf course, 9.5 matches to 2.5 matches.
