Australian Boys’ Interstate Teams Matches
16-19 April, Pacific Harbour Golf Club
South Australia clinched the Australian Boys’ Interstate Teams Matches title for the first time since 2005 at Pacific Harbour Golf Club on Bribie Island.
Holding a narrow overnight lead, the SA team defeated Western Australia 3.5-1.5 this morning to seal victory.
Glenelg’s own Lachlan Booth has helped South Australia clinch glory at the Australian Boys’ Interstate Series for the first time since 2005.
A gruelling schedule saw Lachy rested for two of the seven matches played over just 4 days. After squaring his first match of the series Lachy went on to lose just one game, winning 6&4 on the last day when the series was in the balance.
With the state side coached by Glenelg’s Head Coach Gareth Jones, Lachy obvioulsy felt very much at home proving a pivotal member of the successful team.
We look forward to Lachy’s involvement in the upcoming Golf SA Pennant Season when he represents Glenelg.
South Australia’s Jack Williams (Grange) was the only player to remain undefeated for the championship.
Queensland’s 3-2 win over Victoria was enough to elevate them into second place, finishing half a contest ahead of the Victorians in third.
New South Wales moved up to fourth place, leapfrogging Western Australia who finished fifth.
The Northern Territory, ACT and Tasmania finished in sixth, seventh and eighth respectively.

Matthew Lisk (Grange) (Captain)
Anthony Murdaca (Grange)
