After qualifying top following the Senior Interclub minor round matches, Glenelg has fallen at the last hurdle, losing to Royal Adelaide in Friday’s final at Royal Adelaide Golf Club.
In a very tight contest, the overall result came down to the match between Rod Phillips and Sandy Small, with Rod holing a four footer on the last to secure his match and the final for Royal Adelaide. In the end, home course advantage proved too much in a close battle.
