Glenelg Junior Development Day

With so many keen juniors now signed up at Glenelg, our junior development days are a fantastic opportunity for juniors and coaches to connect. These days help young golfers make new friends, practice together, and develop their skills—especially over the holidays when many are at the club most days!

On Sunday 15th December, we held the 25 Development Day, with Connor Chant, Harry Coote, and Ryan Reavley hosting 35 enthusiastic juniors.

All juniors were excited to start after receiving Ping caps and Titleist golf balls.

Morning Clinic

24 juniors participated in the morning clinic, which included:
- Group chipping games
- Pitching, putting, and full swing stations
Coaches set up drills designed to teach new skills and help juniors achieve their goals.

18-Hole Competition

After a break for lunch, the experienced juniors competed in an 18-hole competition, putting the morning’s skills into practice. They vied for fantastic prizes, including Ping golf bags in each grade, followed by Titleist golf balls and caps.
Despite a windy but sunny afternoon, there were many impressive scores.

Afternoon Games Clinic

Younger juniors participated in a games clinic for an hour, followed by two hours on-course, giving them a fun introduction to playing golf and meeting peers of a similar age.
