Jack Newton International Classic
This 72 hole event was held at Cypress Lakes in NSW last week. Jack Leonard had scores of 72, 70, 78, 74 = 294 (+6) to finish tied 19th. He is now 5th on the National Boys Order of Merit.
Jakarta International Championship (Asian Tour)
There was no joy for Jack Buchanan last week in Indonesia. After a solid opening round of 69 he had 74 in the second round to be 3 over with the cut falling at 2 under par. The tournament was won by South Australian Wade Ormsby. Jack’s next tournament will be the International Series Philippines from 23-26 October. There was an event scheduled for Cambodia this week but it was cancelled due to unrest in the region.
Australasian PGA Tour
The Australasian Tour resumes this week with the WA PGA Championship at Kalgoorlie from 9 – 12 October. Jack Buchanan memorably won the event last year but is not defending his title. Coach Adam Bland is in the field. Weekend play will be televised on Fox Sports and Kayo.
