Lone Pine Pavilion

Introducing Lone Pine Pavilion, a striking recent addition to Glenelg Golf Club and the perfect setting for post-ceremony drinks and pre-dinner canapés.

Positioned just moments from the ceremony lawn, the Pavilion allows your celebration to flow effortlessly from “I do” to raised glasses and relaxed conversation in the glow of the setting sun.

Inspired by the iconic Barcelona Pavilion, the Lone Pine Pavilion reflects a design philosophy that has stood the test of time. The result is an iconic, light-filled space that elevates the in-between moments of your day where congratulations are shared, canapés are savoured and the celebration begins to unfold.

Frequently Asked Questions

What time can we start our Ceremony and Reception?

Garden ceremonies are available from 4pm during daylight savings and 3pm at the end of daylight savings. Pinehill ceremonies on the balcony can be held anytime of the day. Your main reception area is booked for a duration of 6 hours with the latest finish time being midnight.

Suppliers can have access to the reception room from 9am.

Is there an area where our guests can go between ceremony and reception?

You can select our “Just married”- Package at our beautiful Pavilion, where your guests can soak up the afternoon sun whilst enjoying a selection of beverages and mini bagels.

Alternatively, your guests are welcome to visit our Member’s Lounge where they can purchase beverages at the Bar.

Do you have wheelchair access?

Please follow the signage to the upper carpark located next to our entrance of the clubhouse, here you will find a drop off and pick up area, disability carparking and ramp access into all areas of our facility.

Can we organise a wedding tasting?

We offer wedding tastings on Thursday and Friday evenings between 6-8pm and we recommend that you book your tasting at least 3 months prior to your big day. Just call our Events Manager to arrange a date and time (we require two weeks’ notice), your pre-selection (maximum of three choices per course) and for how many people you would like to book.

Do you cater for allergies and special dietary requirements?

Please advise our Events Manager at least 7 days prior if any of your guest have dietary requirements and we will endeavour to attend to their request. If the guest is anxious about the menu they can call us in person and speak to our Hospitality or Events Manager.

When do we need to organise final arrangements by?

Most details can be organised well in advance for your ease of mind and our Events Manager will guide you through this process with all attention to detail. Full payment is required, with final guest numbers, a minimum of seven days prior to your wedding.

Can we have cold fireworks or smoke machines?

We do allow indoor cold fireworks, please notify your Events Manager if this is one of your wedding wishes. Smoke machines are not permitted.

Is there a Public Holiday Surcharge?

No surcharge applies to events held on public holidays.

Do you provide accommodation?

Our Club does not offer accommodation, but you can book with some of our preferred hotel partners. Please click here 

Do you have parking onsite?

We have plenty of parking and guests can access our main car park area via the James Melrose Road gates.

Is there a smoking area close to the Reception Room?

We are a non-smoking venue on and off the course and Clubhouse.

Is there power access at the Ceremony site?

There is no power access at the Garden Ceremony and your celebrant must supply their own PA system.

Are dogs allowed at the venue?

Although we are animal lovers there are no dogs allowed at the ceremony or on the grounds of the Golf Club.

Can we use rose petals for our ceremony?

Organic rose petals or biodegradable confetti is allowed, please confirm the choice of your petals with our Events Manager.

Can we have photos taken on course?

Yes, our course offers many beautiful locations for wedding photos. Your photographer will need to book a site visit and sign a permission form prior.

Can we have a wedding rehearsal?

Yes a rehearsal of the ceremony can be done on site, please book this time in one week prior to your wedding on a Thursday or Friday between 3- 5pm.
