The Rhonda Watson Brooch was held at the Glenelg Golf Club on Monday 15th August 2022. Rhonda Watson became a Member of the Club in 1948 and had a remarkable playing and administrative golf career, so it is a great honour to host this event and something that we are very proud of at Glenelg.
17 golf clubs were represented with a total of 26 teams. It was lovely to host teams from Burra, Blyth, Strathalbyn, Tanunda, South Lakes, Lameroo and Barossa Valley and we thank those players for participating in the event.
The event is contested in 2 divisions. Silver for GA handicaps below 15.0 and Bronze for GA handicaps 15.1 to 23.9. The silver teams play stroke and the Bronze teams play stableford.
The Bronze division winners of the day on a countback from Tanunda 2 were Laifong Cheong, Sarah Russell and Dianne Cocks from North Adelaide with a score of 102.

The silver division best nett winners on a countback from West Lakes with a score of 235 were Tonia Ross, Sue Raggatt and Anne Hooper from Glenelg.
The overall winners of the Rhonda Watson Brooch with a gross score of 273 were the team from Kooyonga consisting of Jodie Deacon, Lyn McGough and Christine Hildyard with the team from Glenelg being runner up. Congratulations to Kooyonga.
Many thanks to Shane and Connor from Golf Operations for their coordination of the event and to Lynne, Anna and all of the hospitality staff for their work on the day.
