Get to know… Tim Warren

Meet our Course Superintendent, Tim Warren! Make sure you give him a wave next time he passes you on the Golf Course!!

How long have you been at the Glenelg Golf Club and what is your role?
I started in May 2018 and my role is the Course Superintendent. I usually start work at around 4:15 and catch up with Simon and Graeme, who are my 2 assistants, and we address what we have to do for the day, which might include course changes, updates and overall course maintenance. After my list is finished, I just float around and try and get things done, ensuring the course is looking its best.

What is your favourite part about working here?
It has to be the people, the members, fantastic golf course, brilliant team. It’s never an effort to come to work. We have a really good group of staff at Glenelg Golf Club, we have so much fun and you can really see the results from what we do here on the course.

What is your go-to toastie?
Chicken, Cheese, Avo and Mayo!

What is your favourite hole on our course?
I really like 10, looking down from the top of the hill, and I really like 12 too, just the higher points of the golf course, you see how beautiful our club is.
