Hodgson, Yun & Buchanan win Glenelg Vardon

Kooyonga’s Joe Hodgson, The Grange’s Jin-young Yun & Glenelg’s Jack Buchanan have claimed this year’s respective Glenelg Vardon trophies played on Sunday.

With a total score of 144 Hodgson won the Brian Ferris Memorial Trophy by 2 shots from in-form Grange member, Jack Thompson.  Billy Cawthorne (Royal Adelaide – 147), Henry Duregon (Glenelg – 149) and Jordan Bishop (Kooyonga – 150) rounded out the top 5.  Henry Duregon also won the best net on 145, 1 shot clear of Joe Hodgson.

Jin-young Yun of The Grange won the Waddy & Rundle Trophy finishing 1 shot clear of Royal Adelaide’s Caitlin Peirce.  Glenelg up and comer Eliza Baker won the net on a countback from Sophie Hilditch.

In the Eric Scovell Junior Vardon event, 2017 Glenelg Club Champion Jack Buchanan’s 3-under par score of 139 left him an impressive 10 shots ahead of Jack Tanner.  2017 Junior Vardon winner Frank Vucic and Tea Tree Gully’s Jimmy Luo were in third and fourth place respectively.
