Glenelg Golf Club is pleased to advise that Mr Tim Warren has been appointed Superintendent of Glenelg Golf Club. Tim will be just our 5th Superintendent since 1946.
Tim is currently the Senior Assistant Course Superintendent at The Grange Golf Club. Prior to that he spent three years as Superintendent at Links Lady Bay overseeing a course that took a significant climb up the rankings on the back of improvement made during his tenure.
Course Superintendent roles at the very busy Adelaide Shores and the impressive Horsham Golf Club are also included in Tim’s extensive and broad background.
A current Yankalilla resident, Tim and his young family will very soon be making the move to Adelaide.
“I’m extremely honoured and excited at being chosen for the position of Course Superintendent of the Glenelg Golf Club. With such a strong group of candidates that applied, to be selected to be custodian of such a great course with a proud history is something I’ve been striving for throughout my 23 year career.
My family, Kate, Sophie and James are truly excited about the move and look forward in been involved and visible within the club. I look forward to working closely with Ben, the Committee of Management and all the staff at “The Bay” to ensure that it remains a premier club both in South Australia and nationally.”

Given Tim’s pending commencement, at Tuesday night’s COM meeting it was decided to delay planned works on the 5th and 6th holes until next year to allow Tim to get his feet under the desk before heading up a project of such magnitude.
