Four Glenelg players in Men’s State Team

Congratulations to all players who were today named in the 2018 Golf SA Men’s State Team.

Jackson Kalz, a member of the 2017 team, has regained selection after a solid year including a win at the Victorian Junior Open in December.  He will be joined by fellow Glenelg members and State Team debutants Jack Buchanan, Josh Hayes & Frank Vucic. 

The 2017 year was a coming of age for Buchanan, he had a great win at the National 15 & Under Championships which he followed up by winning the 2017 Club Championship.  He also enjoyed team success as a part of the winning Glenelg Bonnar Cup and SA 17 & Under teams along side fellow junior, Frank Vucic.  Not to be left in the shadows Vucic elso enjoyed individual glory in 2017 winning the Club’s Junior Championship.  The Glenelg quartet is soundly completed by Josh Hayes who, after a bit of time away from the game, has come back better than ever and could prove to be a match winner for SA in the series.

The side will be captained by Royal Adelaide’s Billy Cawthorne and also feature The Grange’s Colin Coleman, Liam Georgiadis and 2018 Riversdale Cup Champion Jack Thompson.

The Men’s Interstate Series will be played from Tuesday, 8th to Friday, 11th May 2018 at The Grange Golf Club (East Course).
