Congratulations to Glenelg juniors Jack Buchanan & Shakira Kuys who have qualified to represent South Australia. Their fantastic first place finishes on Wednesday, 19th July in Golf SA’s qualifying event at North Adelaide Golf Club earned them a place in the team travelling in September to the Jack Newton International Classic in New South Wales.
In the Boys Junior Division (15-17 years), Jack Buchanan shot a fantastic 2-under par 68 to finish two shots ahead of Royal Adelaide’s Will Arnold. A further two shots back on 72 (+2) were Glenelg’s Jack Tanner & Frank Vucic.
Shakira Kuys took out the Girls Sub-Junior Division (14 & under) beating her closest opponent, Millie Whinney (The Grange) by six shots.
Caitlin Peirce (The Vines) won the Girls Junior Division (15-17 years) & Jimmy Luo (TTG) won the Boys Sub-Junior Division (14 & under).
