Glenelg got a golfing lesson by a young West Lakes team at Thaxted Park, going down 6/1. The significant difference between the teams was West Lakes’ ability to quickly adapt to the fast-paced, multi-tiered greens.
Oliver Nalepa (5) won our only match 5 and 4, making it two wins in two weeks. Other matches that went deep were Calvin Perks (1) 1 down, Kane Hyams (2) 3 and 2 down, Jack Ramage (3) 2 and 1 down, William Darker (6) 2 and 1 down and Holly Burns (playing reserve) who went 1 down, having given her opponent 20 strokes.
What we have won every round by a significant margin has been the greatest representation of junior caddies by any club. A long bow granted, however, this does highlight our amazing team unity, spirit and friendship.
Time to hit the practice greens team!
