Frank Vucic wins Golf SA Junior Open event

Frank VucicGlenelg’s Frank Vucic has won the Golf SA Junior Open event played at the Mt Osmond and Flagstaff Hill golf clubs this week.

Vucic, who fired an impressive even par 70 in the first round at Mt Osmond on Thursday, followed up with a 3-over par 75 around the Flagstaff Hill layout today. He finished at 3-over par, four shots ahead of William Arnold from Royal Adelaide GC, who finished in 2nd place.

Another four Glenelg junior members finished in the top 10, with Glenelg Club Championship winner Jack Tanner finishing in 5th place with rounds of 78 and 74. Liam Kennewell also finished with a total score of 152, with rounds of 72 and 80.

Brodie Whitbread, who only recently joined Glenelg, finished in 8th place with two consistent rounds of 77. Jacob Rillotta rounded out the top 10 with a total score of 156, after rounds of 76 & 80.
