Members on Tour Update

School Sport Australia 18 years and under Championships
This event was recently held in Queensland and Glenelg was represented by Jack Leonard, Kyle Feltus, Ava Strazdins and Grace Ferrier.  The format was a 36 hole championship event followed by a round robin interstate match play series.  In the 36 hole boys section Jack finished in a creditable 11^th place followed by Kyle in 24^th.  In the girls section Ava was 27^th and Grace 29^th.   In the match play event SA finished 3^rdin the boys with 2 wins, 2 ties and 1 loss.  Jack Leonard was rewarded with all Australian selection after winning 4 of his 5 matches playing in the no.1 position.  Well done Jack!  In the girls section SA finished 6^th with 1 tie and 4 losses.

SA Senior Order of Merit – West Lakes
In the SA Senior Order of Merit held at West Lakes Golf Club, had Members competing in both the Super Senior and Senior Men’s Gross divisions.

In the Super Senior Men’s Gross, Brian Welsh recorded a score of 89 (+19), securing a tied 5th place finish. In the Senior Men’s Gross, Nick Wake carded an 87 (+17) to claim a share of 10th place.

SA Club Vardon – The Grange Golf Club (west)
The Vardon series has resumed as the season now moves towards its culmination with the SA Amateur which completes the season at the end of September.  At Grange on Sunday Kade Bryant shot 75 to finish 5^th followed by Nathan Uebergang on 78 (14^th).  In the women’s event Zoe Manton was 3^rd on 81.  The next event is at Royal Adelaide on Sun 10^th August.

Kade sits in 15^th on the National Men’s Order of Merit whilst Jack is 7^th in the boys section.  During August Kade will be heading to Queensland to play in the Pacific Harbour Amateur and the Queensland Amateur.
