Members on Tour Update

Jack Buchanan was not in the field for last week’s Webex event in NSW.  On Monday he teed it up in qualifying for the NZ Open to be held later this month.  However a round of 1 over 72 was not good enough to qualify. There is no tournament this week.

For the amateurs, the Vardon events continued with last week’s tournament hosted by Mount Osmond. Glenelg had 8 players in action. Kade Bryant won the boys section on 3 over 73 and was 7^th in the men’s section. Nathan Uebergang was 5^th after a 72.  Zoe Manton played well to score 3 over 75 to come runner up in the girls section and running 4^th in the women’s. This weeks event will be at Flagstaff Hill on Sunday 24^th Feb.

The Seniors Order of Merit event was held at Sandy Creek on Monday. Leading the way for Glenelg was Christine Trimmer who won the women’s event with a score of 81. The best of our men was Brian Welsh on 83 running 5^th in the Super Seniors. Next Mondays event will be held at South Lakes.

Steve Weeks
