Our involvement in STEPtember

This September the Glenelg Golf Club staff actively participated in STEPtember to help raise awareness of people living with cerebral palsy. STEPtember is a fun and inclusive challenge that encourages you to move your way to 10,000 steps a day from 1st to 30th September.

Our overall winning team, the Scotty Shufflers had a total of 2,061,165 steps in STEPtember. This team consisted of Hannah Hughes (Bar), Sue Robinson (Pro Shop), Tim Warren (Course) and Suman Gurung (Kitchen). They all have won one night accommodation at the Oval Hotel. A special thanks to Matt Omond at Adelaide Oval Hotel for the donation.

Overall Individual Winner Suman Gurung

The staff member with the most steps was Suman Gurung (Kitchen) with 924,089 steps. He has won an MG Hotel Group Voucher for one night accommodation at any of their 7 hotels around Adelaide thanks to Greg Winston.

The team that raised the most for STEPtember was the Socceroos. Team members consisted in Ryan Van Der Veen (Course), Patrick Drescher (Course) and Robert Vincekovic (GM). They have also won one night accommodation at any on of the MG Hotel Group Hotels.

A special thank you goes out to those who donated prizes including Will and Henry Papatolis at Fourth, Adam Vonthethoff at The Griffins Hotel, David Elmes at The Jetty Bar, Peter Vlahandreas at Shanx Mini Golf and Gary Cundy for his cash donation. Make sure you get out and show these organisations plenty of support!
