Kikuyu Blitz on Thursday 16th March

Kikuyu growth has again seen a spike of activity during this period of the growing season. With favourable weather and growing conditions resulting in areas of kikuyu becoming more prominent throughout the Course.

To help manage and control these areas most affected, Course Staff will undertake a “Kikuyu Blitz” on the morning of Thursday 16th March.

The tee will be closed until 10:30am, allowing Course Staff the time required to apply a herbicide treatment to areas most affected, with a focus on holes 1 to 7.

Once treatment has been applied, a minimum of 3 hours drying time is required to avoid the spread of herbicide by foot or cart traffic that may result in damage to other sensitive turf areas.

We hope all Members are understanding of the maintenance required, with the goal of providing quality playing surfaces year-round for all Members.
