Glenelg v Grange Foursomes

Thursday the 30th saw the 49th Grange v Glenelg Foursomes played on the Grange East course. This event is decided by the team returning the lowest aggregate nett score in relation to scratch. Ten pairs headed north for this annual event and found the course a hive of activity with preparation for the upcoming LIV event in full swing. For quite a few of the team it was their first chance to play for both Glenelg and at the Grange, and their performances were stand out!

The first cut had been left to grow longer than normal in anticipation of the tour players and this proved difficult for us mere mortals in both locating balls and hitting them cleanly out of their buried lies within the couch! Needless to say our team put up a fierce challenge as the away team, coming up just 10 strokes short in what was one of the closest games in the last 10 years! Next year sees the Golden Anniversary of the event and will be hosted at home.
