12th Hole Re-Opening

The Club is excited to announce the re-opening of the 12th Hole on Wednesday 15th March. This will also see the closure and commencement of works to the 11thgreen.

Access from the 10th green to the 12th tee will be clearly marked. Players will be directed via a temporary path through the 11th tee area and adjacent the 12th hole nursery. Temporary tees will be located on the fairway of the 12th hole.

No Play Zones:

10th Hole

No Play Zone down the right-hand side of the fairway, with both fairway bunkers out of play.

“Nearest Point of Relief” must be taken, back towards the 10th fairway.

12th Hole

No Play Zone down the left-hand side of the fairway. Free relief back out on 12th fairway, no nearer the hole.

“Nearest Point of Relief” must be taken.

No Play Zone on the right-hand side of the 12th Hole

No Play Zone on the right-hand side of the green, in and around the newly turfed mounding.

“Nearest Point of Relief” must be taken. Free relief may return your ball to the putting surface.

No Play Zone at the rear of the 12th green.

No play Zone at the rear of the entire 12th green area.

“Nearest Point of Relief” must be taken. Free relief may return your ball to the putting surface.

Play from the areas defined as “No Play Zones” during course works is not permitted under Glenelg Golf Club Local Rules and the R&A Rules of Golf.

Preferred Lies:

Preferred lies will be in place on the 12th hole during the recovery of turf conditions. Players may take up to one club length.
