‘Not the Minda Day’ News

Despite having to cancel the shotgun start and lunch that was planned for Minda Day on Tuesday the 8th of February , Glenelg Golf Club still managed to raise $2,218.35 on the day and over the following week, culminating in the raffle draw on the 15th.

Members were given the opportunity to donate $3 as they entered to play on the 8th and 9th and thanks must go to Shane and the Pro Shop staff for both suggesting and managing this.

Several women agreed to bake for a small table of morning tea treats and these were purchased with much enthusiasm from all who played throughout the whole day. Many thanks to those who made this extra effort ahead of playing on the day.

Annette Rienets and Ros Osborne each contributed to the funds in their own unique way with the sale of crocheted ear-warmers and pot plants. Their special touch was much appreciated.

We look forward to enjoying Minda Day next year with all the usual elements of golf, trading table, raffle and lunch – and to raising at least three times as much as we managed this year!
