With the golfing industry going though unprecedented times and Member demand at an all-time high, there will now be a waiting list for most membership categories.
Golf is currently experiencing a mini boom, with the Covid situation inspiring many people to take up golf or return to golf. There are many factors contributing to increased demand for golf at Glenelg, however the membership spike is primarily due to our Club’s immaculate course condition all year round and outstanding social culture. In the last year we have inducted 137 new Members in various categories, with the average age of this group being 41 years. This is fantastic for the future of our Club and we welcome all the new Members to the Glenelg family.
Playing times are now at a point where we must prioritise our current Members who wish to access the booking sheet and use its facilities. Therefore, joining the current Full Membership waiting list, effective immediately, will be Provisional and Casual membership waiting lists. The waiting times will be based on demand, with positions becoming available as Member demand returns to normal or Members transfer to different categories.
We encourage all Members to advise any of their family or friends to join the waiting list for 7-Day Memberships. In the interim, anyone waiting will be able to join as a Six Day Member. At this stage, the introductory memberships (both Women’s Try Golf and The Bay Experience) have very limited spaces.
