With Glenelg Golf Club re-opening its Clubhouse hospitality doors from Tuesday 2nd June, we are now permitted to have up to 80 people inside the Clubhouse with some additional outdoor seating available. Each area will be clearly labelled, and we ask Members to please adhere to signage instructions in and around the Clubhouse.


The following “defined areas” will be available in the Clubhouse with a maximum in each area determined by the size. The function room will be split into two sections using the dividing wall.  Members must adhere to social distancing requirements in all areas in and around the Clubhouse:

  • Member’s Lounge (20 People)
  • Golfers Bar (12 People)
  • Function Room A (20 People)
  • Function Room B (20 People)


There are also a number of outdoor areas available with the maximum number of people permitted in each defined area displayed on entrance signage.

There is no requirement to serve food with alcohol from 1 June 2020. Members however must be seated while consuming alcohol. You’re welcome to order and collect your drink from the bar, however must return to your seat away from the bar to consume the drink.


Opening Times

The Clubhouse will operate every day commencing 2 June 2020 with the following operating hours:

  • Bar: 9.30am – 6:00pm
  • Kitchen: 11:00am – 3:00pm


At this stage there will not be any dinner service. We do expect to increase our offerings over the coming weeks and I will keep you informed of any changes.


Daily Menu

The normal menu will resume albeit slightly shortened for the first few weeks. In addition to this menu there will be a range of interesting specials available every day.


On Course Food & Beverage

The 1st Hut will continue to sell food, drink and coffee between the hours of 7am and 11am Tuesdays through to Sunday. The Catering Cart will also be in operation on the same days and at this stage will not be selling any alcoholic beverages.



Given that the Clubhouse was re-opened a week earlier than the initial date, set by the Government, there will be some trades onsite over the next few days. The main area out of action will be the main Clubhouse toilets. We hope all Members are impressed with the recent upgrades to the Clubhouse.



Please continue to use the toilet facilities downstairs as we finalise the upgrade of upstairs toilets. We expect the new toilets to be complete in the week commencing 8th June.


We understand that these arrangements are different to how we normally trade, however the safety and well being of our Members, staff and guests are paramount and we must adhere to the current restrictions in place.

We encourage Members to come to the Clubhouse before or after golf and enjoy the hospitality. We look forward to seeing you all soon.
