On Wednesday 4th March, in near perfect conditions, the Glenelg Team, full of anticipation, on their home course, took on the trophy holders, Kooyonga in the annual “Airport Challenge”. Kooyonga Captain Terry Anderson won the toss and led his team into the field.
Whilst there were some positive moments in the first nine holes, it was not too long before the drinks cart was carrying ominous reports for Glenelg.
Returning to the Clubhouse, the call of the card disappointed the locals. Two matches won in good style, but four lost to the visitors.
A relaxed BBQ topped a day of good fun and rivalry. Thanks to Kooyonga for continuing to build the competition begun in 2012 and to our team for their effort on the day.
Back to the practice paddock for us.

Captain
