Glenelg Wins Best Club Reception at ABIA

On Tuesday night, Glenelg Golf Club was awarded the Best Club Reception in Australia for the third time in a row at ABIA’s (Australian Bridal Industry Awards) National Designer of Dream Awards. 

ABIA hosted its prestigious 10th National Designer of Dreams Awards at The Star Gold Coast. It was an exciting event whereby wedding businesses from all around Australia were recognised and merited for their consistent excellence as per the positive feedback from their very own wedding customers between 2015 to 2018.

It was the 105,120 newlyweds which had nominated & rated the quality of product, service, value for money and attitude of 4,579 wedding businesses culminating in 336 Finalists, all who competed for Australia’s most prestigious wedding industry award.  

To qualify as a National Finalist or Winner, a business is required to receive high quality ratings & reviews over the past 4 consecutive years. The standard of these industry awards continue to motivate business owners and team members to strive for better in setting standards for the Australian Wedding Industry.

James Lorenz (Marketing & Membership Manager) proudly received the award on behalf of the Club. In his speech he thanked all the brides and grooms who voted for us, our very supportive suppliers, and most importantly our Sales & Event Manager Lynn, along with all of the amazing staff and chefs who make weddings at Glenelg Golf Club so successful. 

It is a great honour for our Club to receive this award at what is known as the Logies for the wedding industry. To receive this award for 3 years in a row just goes to show how consistently hard working our team is at the Club, and we hope to be back again next year at the 11th National Designer of Dream Awards. 

Glenelg Golf Club was also placed in the top 20 Ceremony Venues in Australia for 2018/19.
