Sanderson Cup Solid Win

Sanderson Cup Solid Win

Round 3, 16 June

The Sanderson Team came away with a very solid win 5-0 against Blackwood in near perfect conditions at Grange West.
All of the team got off to great starts and only one match went to the 18th.
We have now won our first 3 matches and have the challenge of taking on Kooyonga & Grange in the next 2 matches. Something I hope the girls will relish!

Charley out played her opponent most of the day starting with a brilliant birdie on the first and finishing square with the card & winning 6 and 5.

Sarah played consistently all day and was never challenged but her opponent played quite well too, however Sarah withstood the pressure and won 4 & 3.

Elysia found some good form this week with Chris Whitford on her bag and played some very good golf, eagling the 6th , being 5 up after 9 & winning 6 & 4.

We welcomed Emma Sutton to the team this week returning home for the holidays from College Golf in USA . She had the toughest match of the day playing Lorry Brown. She sank some great clutch putts & the match see sawed all day but she sank the winning putt on the 18th for a great par and win!

Shakira started the day off well for the team and was a convincing winner after 9 at 5 up, and finished it off easily winning 6 & 4.

Well done girls and let’s keep it up next week at Mt Osmond!!

Thanks to all our great caddies and supporters that made it out to watch both teams playing on the same course for the first time this season.
It was great that the A1’s could support the A2’s on their last few holes and see them win a very tight finish.

Team Manager
