Ladies Minda Golf Day

Ladies Minda Golf Day

Tuesday 12th February 2019

Despite atrocious weather for all the early players in the field, ladies turned out to play and generously support Minda in our 51st Minda Golf Day.

The trading table had to be moved to the Bistro area after a second huge rain squall wet everything on the table, the drinks stall in the rotunda was eventually abandoned and the golf dart board for our chipping competition could not be erected.

There were 141 players in the field with 78 visitors from 18 different golf clubs. Two ladies from Alice Springs and another from Victoria also joined us on the day.

The winning team in the 3BBB Stableford competition with 48 points was Di Cocks, Merrilyn Middleton and Deirdre Bennett from North Adelaide and in second place, with 47 points, Joy Page and Heather Allen from Mt Lofty and Leisa Thomas from Kooyonga.

I would like to extend my thanks to the Minda staff and volunteers, to Golf Ops, to Lynn Kschammer and staff for a fantastic buffet lunch and to all who participated in the field. Conditions were very trying but the day was a success raising approximately $4,550 for Minda.
