Unfortunately the 2018 Rhonda Watson Brooch was brought to an abrupt end when persistent heavy rain caused the greens to go under water.
It was a sad end to a great day, all involved very disappointed by the weather. Thank you to the ladies who traveled from Naracoorte, Millicent, South Lakes, Willunga and Aston Hills to play the event.
After play was cancelled all players gathered in the Members Lounge for a light lunch and raffle draw. The major raffle prizes of Endota Spa products was won by Colleen Smitham from West Lakes Golf Club.
As the golfing component was cancelled all prizes were raffled off as well. Raffle winners in the Silver Division were Jenny Wiese (South Lakes), Kathryn Layton (Willunga) and Merrilyn Middleton (North Adelaide). Raffle winners in the Bronze Division were Christina Larsen (Glenelg), Marg Gordon (Glenelg) and Libby Timmins (Aston Hills).
A special thank you to the Golf Operations team, for their guidance and support before and during the day. Tim, a big thank you for trying to maintain the course but unfortunately the rain was just too heavy.
Also many thanks to the in house staff for their attentiveness to our guests who appreciated the delicious food and the warmth and dry of the clubhouse.
