Hard fought win for A3’s

Report by Anne Marks
Team Manager

Playing at home, the course in top condition, Glenelg defeated an experienced Kooyonga team
3.5 – 1.5.

The Glenelg team was in a reasonably comfortable position after 9 holes, but Kooyonga fought back during the back 9.

Glenelg’s first three players finished with fine wins; Jo Lendrum, playing her second pennant game, had an exceptionally long chip-in on the 17th, winning 2 up.

Fiona Eblen took control of her match after the 13th, wining 3/1, and Sue Raggatt, our number one player, never let go of an early lead, had a strong 4/3 win.

Jill Gehling was pipped at the 18th finishing 1 down, and Wendy Vaughan, squared her match.

A great team effort, with wonderful support from our caddies: Juliet Culley, Cathy Darling, Jill McDonald, Jo Ricourt and Heather Waddy.
