Sharp Cup continue winning form

Harry EdwardsReport by Paul Grosvenor
Team Manager

The Sharp Cup Team relished the opportunity to play at home against The Grange in the last round of Sharp Cup before the final. On a exceptionally presented golf course they secured a 3 to 2 win.

At No. 5 Mitch Ward was on fire early and holed a 20 foot putt to go 3 up through three. Mitch continued his great form and won his match 7/5.

Aaron Buchanan had a tough match on his hands from early on. Unfortunately he wasn’t able to get a win and lost his match 3/2.

At No. 3 Harry Edwards played exceptional golf all day. He secured a terrific win 5/4, well done Harry!

Marcus Kuys played at No. 2 and played solid golf all day. Marcus used his home course advantage to win his match 2/1.

At No. 1 Liam Kennewell struggled to find momentum against a quality opponent. Liam played some amazing golf shots however unfortunately he was beaten 3/2.

A big thank you to Mr Ian Symons (Vice President) for completing Starter’s duties and for officiating the rules. Special thanks to Mr Paul Duregon (Club Captain), Mr Ben Kavenagh (General Manager) and avid Glenelg junior golf supporter David Brand for coming out and supporting the team.

The boys are very excited about their upcoming final at Flagstaff Hill on Sunday against Kooyonga. Go #TeamGlenelg in the 2017 Finals!
