A Convincing Win for Division 2

After a disappointing loss to Grange last week the Division 2 team responded in emphatic style, winning 5 matches to nil against Mt Osmond Golf Club.

‘Giving’ away 89 shots across the five matches in the match play handicap format, this was an impressive result. On several occasions players found themselves making par only to lose the hole and yet everyone stayed calm (apart from the manager) and focussed on what they could control.

Match Results

1. Luke Sandford: 2/1 Up – Played solid golf all day.
2. Ben Walther: 5/4 Up – In front early and maintained the pressure.
3. Darcy Burns: 3/2 Up – A pleasing comeback from 3 down early.
4. Jade Kinita: 1 Up – Won 17 and 18 to get the narrowest of victories.
5. Jack Ramage 4/3 – Up a comfortable win, closing it out on 15 with a birdie.
