Pike Cup team defeated in tough contest

_DB_4795Report by Sue Tuohy (Team Manager)

Glenelg lost 3 to 2 matches against the top team Royal Adelaide at Tea Tree Gully.

The day started well with our No. 5 player Sue Raggatt having a great win of 6/5 after finishing birdie, par.

Sam White playing at No. 1 was outclassed by her opponent Juliet Hugo losing 7/6.

Louise Pike playing at No. 4 position was square through sixteen while Bec Hughes went down 4/2.

Then Cathy Symons at No. 2 was also square through sixteen.

Louise Pike was all square playing the 18th hole but was able to win 1 up after her opponent missed a short putt.

With two losses and two wins to each team, it was up to Cathy. Unfortunately she lost the 17th hole to go one down and had an indifferent last hole to go 2 down.

We did not make the finals but there was only halve a match in it. I would like to thanks all players who played for the A2’s and committed their time and effort towards the team and also a big thanks to all the caddies.
