Women’s A3 team have strong win

The women’s A3 team played at Kooyonga GC on Monday, and defeated Highercombe 4.5 – 0.5.

The Glenelg girls started out strongly against Highercombe with four out of the five matches up at the end of the front nine.

Jill Gehling was the first to finish, 7/6 on the 11th after playing the substitute 19th hole.

Fiona Eblen played a great match, and defeated her opponent 6/4.

Heather Waddy also finished 6/4, which secured the win for Glenelg.

Cathy Darling won 2up after her match finished on the 18th hole.

Sue Tuohy fought back from 1 down to halve her match.

All players were exceptional and a win of 4.5 to 0.5 now puts Glenelg’s A3 team in second place.
