Good win for Junior Div 2 team at TTG

Junior Div 2 is a development competition providing great opportunities for juniors at all golf clubs to test themselves in a handicap matchplay format.

Despite the depth of Glenelg’s current junior program, handicap matchplay always levels the playing field and our kids found both the Tea Tree Gully team and course a challenge. Giving up 88 shots to your opponents makes it even more difficult but our team fought hard to take out the win 3-2.

Shakira Kuys. 9/7. WOW, big win and great effort.

Josh Gumm 6/4. Very solid

Mitch Ward 1 up. Got the job done

Locky Redden & Harry Edwards; Fought hard all day but no chocolates.

Calvin Perks (Reserve). Good Win.

Darcy Burns made the trip to TTG as an emergency and caddied all day in pretty ordinary conditions – that tells me a fair bit about Darcy’s commitment and dedication.

In finishing, our junior development program at Glenelg should never ever be taken for granted. It’s gold. Well done everyone at Glenelg.
