Hole in one at 14 years of age – really!!!

14 year old youngster, Calvin Perks, had his first hole in one on the 16th hole at Glenelg

Is the game really that easy?  For Calvin Perks apparently, it is!

The 14 year old Glenelg junior (mind you, 14 years and 1 month to be exact!) experienced every golfer’s dream today acing the tricky par 3, 16th hole.  Despite the heatwave conditions, the youngster took it all in his stride completing his round with a cracking score of 40 points.

Using his trusty pitching wedge, the shot may not have been struck perfectly, but it used the slope of the green beautifully and never looked like missing, hitting the pin dead on and disappearing in the hole.

Spare a thought however for his playing partner and good mate, Harry Edwards, who seconds earlier had just lipped out with his tee shot.  It’s a cruel game, golf!

Perks’ ace was the second recorded this week after Peter Hawke cleaned up the Wednesday Hole-In-One Jackpot yesterday on the 14th hole.
