Glenelg Golf Club has taken out the 2015 Best Club Dining Award at the annual Clubs SA Awards for Excellence dinner held at Adelaide Oval on Saturday night.
The award tops of a hugely successful awards season for the Club in which we also won Best Club Reception Venue at the Australian Bridal Academy Awards dinner, and three awards at the SA Golf Industry Awards Night – Excellence in Golf Club Management (David Brand), Excellence in Turf Management (Daryl Sellar) and PGA Teaching Pro of the Year (Gareth Jones).
Glenelg Golf Club was also a finalist in the Best Club Operations and Best Sporting Club awards, although unsuccessful in winning these two awards. Following on from the 2014 Best Golf Club Award, the Club was the only finalist in this section this year and as such, no award was presented on the night.
The Best Club Dining award is fitting recognition for the hard work put in by the Club’s food and beverage team, and in particular our outstanding culinary team lead by our Head Chef, Matt Chapman, his Second Chef, Richard Narria and their team. It is also fitting recognition to our members and the local public who have continued to support the Club’s Pinehill Bistro operations over the last few years.
