Welcome to 2015 and, on behalf of the Committee of Management and Club Staff, I trust you had an enjoyable Christmas and New Year and were able to get the odd game in over the holiday period.
2015 promises to be another busy year at the Club both on and off the course. Our Club continues to attract strong demand for golf, but also as a sought after destination for socialising, dining, functions, corporate events and weddings, all of which assist significantly in sustaining the Club’s financial viability. I encourage you to continue to enjoy our magnificent facility, but also to let others know about our extensive range of capabilities.
The Club has taken the initiative to distribute membership renewal invoices earlier than in previous years, which you should receive in coming days, and to remind you of the 87th Annual General Meeting of the Club to be held on Wednesday, 25th March 2015 at 8:00pm. We would also like to take the opportunity to present some further information and new initiatives to coincide with the new membership year.

Online Booking Sheets
Following consultation with members and after extensive and robust debate amongst the Committee of Management, it has been unanimously agreed to introduce online booking sheets on a permanent basis.
With an increasing number of rounds being played by members and a greater need for people to manage their time more effectively, the Committee of Management has formed a strong view that an online booking sheet system is the best and fairest way for the Club to meet these expectations and the decision best balances the needs and expectations across the Club’s membership base, as well as our future members, guests and visitors.
Effective from the commencement of the new membership year (1st April 2015), online booking sheets will be introduced on a permanent basis every day of the week. The current policy of booking sheets opening eight days prior at 3:00pm will continue, with booking sheets operating from one-tee only until 2:00pm on most days, unless otherwise advised. The existing two-tee arrangement on Saturdays will continue.
The Golf Operations team will continue to assist members, and groups of members, whenever possible, as has been done on regular occasions since online booking sheets were partly introduced a number of years ago.
Provision of Free Range Balls
Following the recent upgrade of the driving range facility, the Committee of Management now believes that the provision of range balls is a service that should form part of your overall membership package. We want to encourage members to utilise our nationally recognised teaching professionals and our world class practice facilities to help improve your golf game.
As a result, the provision of range balls will become a free service to all members and their guests from 1st April 2015. Existing range keys will be phased out over time and range balls will be available by collecting tokens from the Pro Shop. More specific details regarding the new range ball service and the operating hours of the driving range will be communicated to members in due course.

Distribution of Membership renewal packs
If you would prefer to receive your membership pack in the mail, please advise the Administration Office so that we can arrange this for you.
The 2014 Annual Report and 2015/2016 Members’ Handbook will be available for members to collect from the Administration Office sometime during March. A link to both documents will be available on the Club’s website from Wednesday, 4th March 2015.

2015/2016 Membership Fees
Balancing member value, service, affordability, debt reduction and capital expenditure requirements has always been a major focus. The Committee of Management understands that, while we work toward our goal of being the best all round golf club package in South Australia, we must remain affordable. In 2015/2016 the following is applicable:
- An overall increase of approximately 5% has been applied to 2015/2016 membership costs.
- The Infrastructure Levy has been maintained at $350 for Full members, and adjusted for all other membership categories accordingly.
- The Catering Levy has increased marginally to $385 (or $7.40/week). This levy is a credit available for use over a period of twelve months, with an additional three months for those renewing their membership each year.
- Also, don’t forget about using your ClubKey to create a Wallet account and receive a 10% bonus on all Wallet deposits. Your Wallet account can be used for all food and beverage purchases.
Membership Options Available
We are constantly reviewing the membership options available to assist you in choosing a membership that best suits your needs. In 2015/2016 these options include Weekday, Six Day and Absentee membership. Further information on these categories, and all available membership categories, can be obtained from the Club’s website or by contacting the Administration Office.
Please note that any changes to membership categories for the 2015/2016 year must be lodged in writing with the Administration Office or via email at membership@glenelggolf.com by 31st March 2015. Late fees apply to any membership transfers requested after 1st April 2015.
Payment of Membership Subscriptions
The Club offers a number of payment options including a quarterly instalment plan (7.5% admin fee applies) with payments falling due on 1st April, 1st July, 1st October and 31st December. Please visit our website to download an application form or collect one from the Administration Office.
Members with access to the internet are encouraged to pay their membership subscriptions by Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). The Club’s bank details are shown on your membership subscription invoice.
An online credit card payment facility is now available on the Club’s website. You will need to login to the secure members’ section and go to “My Account” to access the online payment options. Only Visa and Mastercard payments are accepted online.
Specific details of all payment options are available from the Administration Office or can be downloaded from the Club’s website.
