Grade 2 take advantage of home course for big win

Report by Cathy Johnson (Team Manager)

Glenelg played host to the Women’s Grade 2 competition for the 4th round matches on Monday, and saw us take an emphatic 4.5 to 0.5 victory against the second placed Vines team.

Louise Pike at number 5 was 5 up after nine holes and closed her match out on the 12th with an awesome 8/6 win.

Sue Raggatt, at number 4, was also 5 up after nine holes and got the job done on 14 for a very satisfying 6/4.

Ruth Martin, at number 3 was all square heading to 18. Her drive found the trees but she steadied to halve the hole and the match by sinking a long putt on 18.

Bec Hughes, at number 2, was 3 up after nine and got on a roll to finish 6/5 after 13.

Sue Tuohy was restored to the number one position and had a fantastic 2/1 win against very strong opposition

We now have the long weekend off before we face Royal Adelaide at Royal Adelaide, always a tough assignment.
