Women’s A2 have emphatic 4-1 win in Round 2

Round 2 against Mt Osmond at Grange saw 5 closely fought matches with a very satisfying 4-1 result.

Louise Pike at number five, in her Pennant debut, built her lead slowly but got the job done nicely and early finishing 4/3.

Sam White, playing at number four this week, was not in the same sizzling form as last week, but was more than good enough finishing 3/2.

Ruth Martin, at number three, had another very close and hard fought match heading down the 18th all square  – this week she was victorious – 1 up!

Bec Hughes, elevated from number four to number two this week, was 1 up or down all day but managed to get her nose in front on the 17th to win 2 up.

Sue Tuohy playing at number one, had another almighty challenge. Three of our A2 opponents do not have A1 teams so their number one player is the best at their club and very strong. This was the case this week  – Sue fought hard going down 3/2

We are pleased to have a win on the board… bring on Kooyonga at The Vines next week.
