The Club’s inaugural Night Golf event has been heralded a great success, after 72 players tackled six holes in darkness.
Sponsored by Truelinks Footwear and Light it Up Golf, LED golf balls, light sticks and cup lights brought the course to life when it would usually be resting from a hard days work. A modified six hole course was compiled using holes 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 and 18 and played in teams of 3.
In the end, the team of Clayton Beal, Leigh Attenborough and Andrew Orbach took out proceedings with a gross score of three under par and a net score of 20.223, only .277 shots ahead of Jill Hodge, Andrew Hodge and Cathy Johnson. Brett Grove, Steven Wild and Andrew Fielke finished third with a net score of 21.445.
