Course renovation works have progressed well over the last two weeks, with greens, tees, fairways and most surrounds having been renovated.
We have extended our work on green surrounds this year, and as a result have bitten off a little more than we could chew, so we will be completing work on the 13th, 14th, 15th and 17th holes next week. This will not require any hole closures, and should be completed by Tuesday.
While the late rain later last week has been handy for most areas, it has made fairway renovations a little messy on holes 9, 17 and 18 in particular, as the wet cores are very hard to rub in and tend to “smear” on the surface. This will not pose any long term problems, but it means these fairways will not be as tidy as we would like at the moment.
Preferred lies are in play and will continue to remain in play for a couple of weeks most likely.
Nonetheless, a great couple of weeks getting ready for another busy spring/summer of golf.
