Women’s A1 team sit atop after crushing victory over Kooyonga

Report by Heather Waddy
(Team Manager)

Glenelg’s Women’s Grade 1 team performed magnificently in freezing conditions at Royal Adelaide on Sunday defeating Kooyonga 5 matches to nil.

Elysia Yap returned to her true form with a 6/4 win and Josie Hodge continued to shine in her match.  Amy Zhou made a welcome return to the side with a decisive victory and Jenny Lee another quality performance.  Sophie James notably drove the tricky 3rd green and completed the birdie on that hole on her way to a 1 up victory.

The team are now so close to being able to defend their 2012 title.  A win or half from the team this week against Blackwood at Kooyonga Golf Club will see us take our place in the final being played at Glenelg on Sunday week.
