Appointment of Clubhouse Operations Manager

We are pleased to advise that, following an extensive recruitment and interview process, Martin Ardill has been appointed to the full-time role of Clubhouse Operations Manager.

Martin replaces Karen Steindorf who left late last year after 18 years of loyal service to the Club in various food and beverage roles, most recently in 2010 replacing Martyn Kinsman as House Manager.

With extensive experience in hospitality and management roles over the last 20 years, Martin has worked for the Club in various capacities since April 2011, most recently as Assistant Bar Manager.

The Club advertised nationally for the position and received some excellent applications.  Six were shortlisted for an initial interview and two, including Martin, were exceptional.

Martin’s credentials, skills and experience are outstanding, but it was his passion and vision for the Club and our food and beverage operations that gave him the edge. 

Martin will be responsible for the management of all aspects of the clubhouse operations, including both bar and catering departments.  He will review and implement strategies that will continue to improve the level of service we currently offer our members and guests, and also find ways to further improve the profitability of the business and drive increased revenue through the clubhouse doors.

Martin will commence in the role immediately.
