Members are advised that the Online Booking Sheet System will continue for Saturdays and Sunday mornings.
Due to the reduced daylight hours in March, with sunrise now closer to 7:00am, there is more pressure mounting for tee times from 7am to 9.00am. The current one tee start allows for only 68 players to play in this time frame. A two tee system, as outlined below, will allow for 108 players to tee off at this premium time.
Given EPA guidelines and noise restrictions whilst cutting greens, we are unable to tee players off from the 10th tee earlier than 7:15am.
Two tee start details for March:
1st tee: 7:00am to 8.45am
10th tee: 7:15am to 8:45am
1st tee: 11:00am to 12:45pm
10th tee: 11:15am to 12:45pm
Given daylight will commence closer to 6:00am in April, it is likely we will revert back to a single tee start. As shrinking daylight hours again become an issue towards the end of May, it is likely we will revert to a two tee start to maximise tee time opportunities for members.
The implementation of online timesheets is being undertaken in accordance with the Club’s policy which states that:
“In general, online booking sheets should only be used when limited tee times are available, when heavy traffic is anticipated in advance or when special events are being played.”
Past history and playing numbers recorded in recent months suggest that Saturday fields have increased compared with previous years despite the fact we now have less Full and Provisional members.
The main objective is to provide a more effective system for members, accommodating times of demand and to provide a greater number of tee times in the most efficient format.
