\"Glenelg's<\/a><\/p>\n

Elysia Yap claimed her first Glenelg Club Championship title today after defeating Louise Pike in an entertaining final on the 34th hole.<\/p>\n

Yap, who finished runner up in 2014, clawed her way back after being five holes down against the highly competitive Pike, to be only 2 down after the morning round.\u00a0 Pike, who’s tenacious appetite for success closely resembles that of her late sister, and champion golfer, Fiona Pike, tried to hold on to her lead early into the second 18 holes, but Yap’s previous matchplay experience allowed her to slowly grab back the lead late in the round and eventually take out the championship 3\/2.<\/p>\n

In the 27 hole B Grade final, Imelda Lynch took out the title with a comprehensive 8\/7 victory of Chris Larsen, whilst Carmel Fairweather claimed the C Grade Championship title with a 5\/4 victory over current Women’s President, Lynne Cotton.\u00a0 Bev Franklin collected her first C Grade Plate title with a 2\/1 victory over Shelagh Matthews.<\/p>\n
